- Aktion Replay PRO SOFTWARE
- **************************
-
- **************************
- * MINI UPDATE 12.03.1994
- **************************
- AR-PRO did not stay resident at reset, due to the default settings used
- in the pref, it did not use these at the reset.
- You may experience problems when reading the included documentation,
- when pressing the INSTRUCTIONS icon.
-
-
- News and buggy updates
- ----------------------
-
- I managed to fix a few bugs of mine, and also included some new options,
- which will be explained, in this documentation.
- It now works 100% on a4000/40, but with use of Multisync screens,
- you may get problems , when exiting AR-PRO, as I doesn't return
- screen mode at exit.
-
- Aktion-replay will only work on computers running with
- Operation System 3.0 (A1200 and up)
- You can run Aktion-Replay on accelerated computers, but you need
- at least OS 3.0.
-
- A uninitalized Aktion Replay start with a preferences screen,
- but when a Pref. is saved, AR-PRO will automatically start
- without showing the menu screen.
- If you want to change the settings in the preferences, you
- can just add a "?" after the command name in the CLI, and
- the preferences will be shown again.
-
- If you see a the background changes GREEN (flashing),
- then the AR-PRO software could not be installed.
- Retry with a new address/location.(Default: $1a0000)
-
- NEW commands.
- -------------
-
- IMODE :
- *DEFAULT= 2
-
- I never explained this command in the previous release,
- but indeep it was included. so here comes the info.
-
- Change "ENTERING" mode of activating AR-PRO, if needed.
-
- 0-> Left&Right Mouse Button + 'F' Key -+- ']' key disables AR-PRO
- 1-> '*' Key on Keypad -+- ']' key disables AR-PRO
- 2-> Right Mouse Button -+- ']' key disables AR-PRO
- 3-> Level 7 Interrupt -+- ']' key disables AR-PRO
-
- DEEPMW :
- *DEFAULT= DISABLE
-
- Another feature is the Memwatcher which now got the option
- of tracing interrupts also, but due to the speed of the
- computer if running in DEEP trace mode, I made this
- an option which is selectable.
- If you try this while the Operating System is running,
- and disable the option, the OS will still act a bit
- like the TRACE mode is active.
- So, use it only when needed.
-
- ALLEXC :
- *DEFAULT= DISABLE
-
- You may want to temporary disable this option, which
- activates all calls made which makes an exception.
- such as, TRAP ,TRACE-MODE.
-
- KICKROMADR:
- *DEFAULT= $F80000
-
- If you are running a Fake kickstart, using Zkick or kickrom,
- and you want to use ROMAVOID, you must set this, IF
- you are using a loaded kickstart, which is placed in $200000,
- this can be done , writing this command.
- currently, it only supports kickstarts in address $200000,
- but that is nearly covering all emulations.
-
- ROMAVOID:
- *DEFAULT= DISABLED
-
- If you are running a Fake kickstart, using Zkick or kickrom,
- and you want to use ROMAVOID, you can select to skip
- calls to the rom system, so the AR-PRO only, activates when
- when its out of the ROM area.
-
-
- CACHE :
- *DEFAULT= kickstart defaults
-
- You can at any time in Aktion replay disable all caching
- by the processor.
- The way to do this is:
-
- 0= DISABLE -- 1= ENABLE
-
- CACHE 1000 Data Burst Enabled
- CACHE 0100 Data Cache Enabled
- CACHE 0010 Inst Burst Enabled
- CACHE 0001 Inst Cache Enabled
-
- All values can be mixed together.
- this work for 020/030 computers only..
- NOT A4000/40 COMPATIBLE YET!
-
-
- *TS :
- The TS command, has now been fixed to work proberly again.
- and also added a feature which were missing in the other
- versions of Aktion Replay.
- You can specify at each start of TS, which starting address
- to scan memory from, or it will take address 0 as default.
- i.e.
- TS 4 0 (scans from address 0)
- TS 4 1234 (scans from address $1234)
-
- Also improved the routines, so it shows you the address
- scanning from, when started.
-
-
- *M :
- Updated the Memory show command ,so its possible to
- view datas as Byte, Word, Longword.
- i.e.
- m.b 0 (show memory as Bytes)
- m.w 0 (show memory as Words)
- m.l 0 (show memory as Longwords)
-
- If no extension is used, it will show memory as bytes.
-
-
-
- F-Keys:
- -------
-
- S-F9 : (COMPARE Page 1 & Page 2)
-
- Some people (like myself), uses the spare page for comparing
- of memory, and shows a part of the memory using the 'M'
- function for an example.
- the basic idea for this function is:
- it compares the characters on both pages, those which are
- equal, will be replaced by a SPACE, and the rest will remain
- on the screen.
-
-
- S-F10 : (Switch between 15Mhz & 31Mhz)
-
- Another option is now, that you can switch the screen mode
- into VGA mode, so if needed, you can run the AR-PRO on
- your S-VGA monitor.
-
-
-
-
-
- Other changes:
- --------------
-
- I have added a screen page number to those to screen which is possible
- to use. In the upper right corner, a Page number will be shown when
- switching page.
